Men Try Stripping For The First Time | Cut

"She was no stripper with a heart of gold, that was for sure. A heart of steel, more like."

― Shannon Celebi, The Lion Lies Down with the Lamb

When was the last time you took a walk in someone's shoes? Have you ever tried your hand at a different trade to see the other side? Well, I can officially say that I have. In this blog, we take a step away from the AMAS persona, put down the style guide, and pick up a G-String.

Now before you step out, stay with me for a second. I was approached by the good people at CUT with an offer to try stripping for the first time and couldn't pass it up. I've always wanted to know what it was like to entertain someone with your body instead of telling the story with your style/clothing.

As I spoke with and learned more about the ladies that utilize this work as a profession, I quickly saw how skillful and talented they are. It isn't always easy making money shaking your tail feather, as agility and seduction don't always come easy to those of us working a 9-5.

Beyond getting to know the ladies and putting on a show, here are some pros and cons I am happy to share from my day on the pole:

PROS - it's a good exercise -

Anything that puts you out of your comfort zone and broadens your worldview is usually a good thing. I have to say I have a newfound respect for those who are bold enough to dance for cash, and I was surprised how much upper body and lower body strength is needed to "keep yourself lifted."

Cons - being put on a pedestal - knowing sex work is just a business at the end of the day, even when lucrative, may leave you feeling isolated. I think that's awfully tough. I like connecting with my friends, family, and coworkers. Sometimes you are in one world on that stage and detached from your everyday life. It isn't for the faint of heart.

Overall, this experience was pretty amazing. I would recommend trying to strip at least once in your life; you may find a part of yourself out there on stage. Lastly, I look forward to doing more CUT videos in the future. Be sure to drop in and show some love via YouTube.

I started this blog 2 years ago to mainly talk style, and I've learned in that time that actually, I can have more of an impact and connect with others through my stories. My life has not been perfect. I've made some huge, monumental mistakes, and had to learn things the hard way at times. I've also had many successes and a whole lot of fun, so that's why I've decided to shift gears a bit and focus more on stories and style together. I want to share my genuine raw experiences in hopes that they will enable me to connect, learn, and grow with you guys!
